Drilling for Gas as a response to Gas Prices?

I am not a big fan of opening up drilling for more gas, in an attempt to reduce gas prices.

Any effect will be only be temporary, and we don't know how much effect it would really have.

This does nothing to address the real problem of moving our economy away from its dependence on Oil.

It seems like more fear-mongering by the current administration in an effort to take advantage of the American people in order to let the rich get richer.

We have 3% of gas, use 24% of gas, and gas isn't going to be around forever. Don't for a second be fooled by this small amount of gas, and instead of wasting time helping big oil, lets help the guys that can get us out of this mess.
